The man who ran Catalonia until a fortnight ago has told Sky News that he had been treated as a criminal, a drug trafficker and a paedophile.
In an exclusive interview, Carles Puigdemont said Spain had "damaged democracy" in ousting him - and that his people "deserved respect and to be listened to".
He was speaking to Sky's Europe Correspondent Mark Stone.
